Daily Style: Wednesday Addams Dress

 Today i really wanted to test my new wig, and i got a new dress through the post that i thought would work with it. I also had gotten my new hat and it looks amazing altogether! XD
This outfit does feel very...."hipster," though.

Note to self...check if hat is on straight before taking photos! >.<

I'm sorry it is a bit picture heavy today, i really liked this outfit.

And it was the first time wearing false lashes, although i can't really wear them with my glasses because they get caught on them :(

Outfit:

Hat: This is a super cute black felt hat with kitty ears! I got it off eBay here, for £3.46 free postage. My hat got realllllly crushed in the post though :( I have steamed it and it helped get some shape back, i will try again though. I emailed the seller telling what happened and i got a partial refund of £2.50, so i got the hat for less than one pound!

You can see it is out of shape, this looks a lot better than it was!

Dress: I got the super cute dress on eBay as well, of course. The link is here for £5.19 and free postage! As i was expecting, the dress is verrrry short. But it is actually generous in other areas, normally things bought online from China are very small around the waist too, but this is actually baggy and lovely. It is a thin chiffon material, and i wore black shorts under it for this photo shoot, i wouldn't wear it without anything. It would look great with thick tights in the autumn.

Wig: A black wig I wanted to test from eBay, i have been wanting a more natural short and wavy wig. I got it here for £4.12. It looks pretty nice on, although it felt very big for me even with the ties at the back done up tight. Not sure why. But i think it looked okay. Also, a lot of hair shed from it when i had it on. But it is nice and soft.

Daily Style: Hell Bunny Dress

Today i thought i had my first day back to swedish class, i turned up and no one was there. Apparently it is on wednesday. *face palm* I also had a group of people who also go there, who were obviously talking about me in their langauge and laughing, even pointed at one point! Yay, i feel so comfortable about going there...

Anyway... I went to NärCon to be a Maid of Sakura Garden, it was a disaster. The convention didn't order any food or drink for us to sell! The maid cafe put in their order but we just didn't get anything, not even a till or a microwave. I had to leave early on thursday because i got a migraine from the extreme heat. And i couldn't sleep there in the sleeping hall -__-
I am disappointed that i didn't get to be a maid, but i hope to have another chance at another convention in the future. My dress still hasn't arrived anyway, so i wasn't happy with my outfit in the end so maybe it was for the best. I can show you what i ordered down below.

Outfit:

Dress: Hell Bunny unicorn dress, i think i picked this up on eBay for cheap. I love this dress it is so comfortable and easy to wear. It also has a really good shape for a simple dress with only having an elastic back. 

Socks: White ankle socks with frills from Primark, although they do not stay up with these shoes!

Shoes: My pink platform trainers, although i left them in the car now after i had to change them to drive in my flat shoes.

Bows: Some purple hair clips i got from eBay

The maid dress i ordered was supposed to look like this:

It still hasn't arrived, but i received a refund today at least. It was from eBay, of course.
So before the convention I had to go out and buy fabric to make an apron and wear it with the best dress i had at the time.

Here are some shots i took as i was sewing the apron. I am not very good at sewing so i was really pleased with the outcome of this apron! I just looked up some different tutorials online and then pretty much winged it, which is what i tend to do actually >.> Oh, and my mini sewing machine broke so my fingers hurt SO bad from hand sewing for hours on end.

I paired it with my blue Hell Bunny dress, but it wasn't quite right. I also put on a white shirt under because the dress had no straps, which wasn't right either. I wore my petticoat i bought for the dress that didn't arrive which was cute, though. If my dress ever arrives i want to try it on with everything I planned to wear to see how it looks. 

Daily Style & Maid Dress Testing

I actually went out to a friends house last night. I am always invited out, I just enjoy staying home being a hermit playing games etc.

Outfit:

Top: Sheer striped top I picked up in Primark. Great for the hot weather.

Skirt: Blue velvet high waist skirt from eBay. 

Socks: Ankle socks from eBay with frills.

Shoes: Knock off creepers. 

I am still trying to think of a replacement dress for my maid dress for NärCon, because i only have Monday and Tuesday for it to arrive and i am worried it won't :(((((

So I have tried some more alternatives...

Blue polka-dot Hell Bunny dress with a white blouse underneath: 

Worn with the petticoat i will wear and socks and shoes i will wear, but i will need to sew an apron in the week. So picture it with a white cute, frilly apron over!
Also remember I will be wearing my cute pink wig and cute things with the maid outfit like in this photo:

I also have been loaned this dress from my friend:

This pink dress is so cute, and i think it goes with the white blouse well too. I am wearing the blouse because these dresses are halterneck and i don't think that suits the maid cafe so i have tucked in the straps and wear this blouse under.

I think the only thing i don't like as much with the pink dress is that it is extra long. I will also have to make a new lolita headband to match the pink. But the blue one i made is the wrong shade of blue for the polka-dot dress so i will have to make new blue ones too anyway -___-

afjhfdalnd i don't know what to do. I might just go and get fabric tomorrow and make an apron early so i can see what these look like with the apron. Even if i end up with two if my original maid dress purchase arrives.
