Daily Style: Dress Choice

So i haven't done many outfit posts over the summer, i have been busy sewing! 

I will be showing one JSK off soon that i have made, though :) 

The fabric I bought from a charity shop, it was a child's size bed sheet... just look at the cute fabric.

Here is a sneak peek at the finished dress XD I am really happy with this one.

But right now I am thinking about some kind of evening dress for my holiday in Las Vegas!
I will be going to the USA at the end of October, and I get to spend my birthday there! Woot. 

But I am already considering what clothes to take...

I have been looking at the cocktail dresses from Aisle Style. 

I think that some sort of evening dress or cocktail dress would work for Las Vegas since I get the feeling that some casinos can be really posh? I am not sure since i have never been, but I think I would like to look my best. 

I have a few pin-up style dresses that I will be taking but I don't have anything that fancy. 

So something like the dresses from Aisle Style would be really nice.

But it is hard trying to narrow it down and deciding if I want to get something like this or not...

But anyway here are a few different dresses that I really like:

I like the shape of the neckline on this evening dress, i really like the sheer fabric on the chest area.

Although I am not sure if the silver colour is the best colour for me, being really pale. Although I have seen that they can make this dress in a large array of colours! So that is great that I could get it in the colour that I prefer. Darker the better... heheh

But the waist line would be really flattering, and pull my waist in at the right places.

I also really love the shape of the top part here, and i think it would be a really flattering shape with the waist band. I also really like the sheer fabric over the skirt to add that floaty look. I think the colour matched with this fabric is really elegant.

The straps also have a really interesting shape which draws my eyes to them.

This is definitely one of my favourites.

This cocktail dress, I guess is similar to the first one but this one is shorter.

It was the neckline that drew me to this one, but also the deep blue colour is so pretty. 

The dress length is also really versatile which could be worn out for the evening or just going out to dinner back home.

This evening dress almost gives me a vintage feel because of the neckline, and it's length. Which is really flattering and pretty. I like a lot of vintage styles.

This cocktail dress is certainly more flashy, but I think I could get away with it in Las Vegas!

I like the sheer fabric again on the chest, but also the sequins add a really lovely style to the dress.

The deep blue colour is also very pretty, and the floaty sheer fabric on the skirt would look so good.

Although, this might be more suited to a prom or something?

I really like the two tones of colour on this cocktail dress. It would suit a more gothic style which is good for me. I am not a huge fan of dresses with no straps or anything, but I think it suits this dress.

The sheer fabric over the skirt also gives that floaty style. It also looks like the top part might be made of velvet which is my favourite fabric ever! It would make it into a really good dress of winter and autumn since velvet and dark colours suit the colder weather. Paired with a black velvet shrug that I already own, would be perfect.

This red cocktail dress almost makes me think of a Disney princess!

I really love the shape of this dress, it is really long and elegant. Having longer arms is also great for the winter time. I love the pattern on the dress too, but I am not sure how it would look on a fuller figure like mine. I like how it also has shoulders on the dress, it is nearly off the shoulder but it isn't... I really like the style to it on the shoulders. 

This evening dress really replicates the Lolita silhouette.

I do love the shape to this dress, as I said it reminds me of the Lolita silhouette with a petticoat (or two!) I like the length and the neckline, and I also like the small details with the bow at
 the waist line, too.
This dress is very cute and quite unique, it is very different to the other dresses that you see for sale for "evening dresses."

I think I could wear this to a casino in Las Vegas!

I love the colour, love the fabric and love the shape! 

The shape of the dress would be really flattering for me, even with a fuller figure. 

I like the details at the waist and the shape over the chest. 

Although, I seem to have a problem with the bust sizes on tops and dresses that have this kind of shape, as they usually don't fit me that great. But with the help of the size chart and how to measure myself I could make sure this dress fits me perfectly.

I would definitely be able to wear this to a fancy restaurant and to the casinos in Vegas.

Top Two

I think out of all my favourite dresses I can narrow it down to these two. 

This evening dress was one of my top picks because of the colour, mainly! 

The colour drew my eyes to it, I really love shades of green, and this shade is so delicious. 

I also like this one because I can really see myself wearing it, the shape of the waist line would be flattering to my body shape, and the straps take away some notice to my arms (I am quite conscious about the tops of my arms!) 

By the looks of it, the dress is also high at the back which is nice as I don't have to worry about my bra showing. Although there aren't any more photos on the website, which is a shame.

But this evening dress could definitely be used again just to go to a restaurant, and to be taken on more holidays in the future!  

So, this was my second favourite pick.

This cocktail dress feels really elegant and unique to me. I think it's from the neckline/shoulder line. 

As I said, I love how it is almost off the shoulder, but isn't. That makes it really unique and stand out. 

The shape of this dress would also be very flattering, at least I hope - as I am not tall and skinny like all the models. But I think the skirt coming out would still look really nice.

I like the three quarter length sleeves, as I am a bit self conscious about my arms. It is always nice not to have to worry. Although. I also wonder about not having any wraps or belts around the waist - for me I like to have something to pull me in at the waist. 

But all in all, I could definitely see myself wearing this dress - even if it is red - I never wear red! So that is a good sign :) Although I would probably have to get this dress in a different colour, a dark green or dark purple suits my tastes better...

Aisle Style actually have a lot of different dresses and styles to chose from. Each dress it seems has a large choice of colours that you can order the dress in. Although, there seems to be only one photo of each dress in one colour. For me, I would like to see the dress in each of the colours - although I know that would be a big thing to have to do as some dresses have 10 or more different colours. So I can appreciate why they haven't done this, but even a swatch photo of the fabric in that colour would be nice to see. 

It also seems like the dresses are made to order which is always a nice touch, you can make sure the size you order really suits and fits you well by measuring yourself thoroughly. 

I am still undecided which dress is my favourite. I would love to try them on to see how they look but I rarely buy in stores so whatever :) I am used to buying everything online.

I would probably go for the green dress as it is more floaty - which means more ways to hide my own parts of my body which i am not happy with. But that's just me!

Anyway, I wanted to just write down my thoughts on dresses as I am thinking about my holiday.
I will be going to San Francisco, then to LA (for the theme parks!) and then to Las Vegas to meet up with my boyfriends family there. I am already thinking about what I should pack, but I also don't want to take too much in case I want to buy anything whilst I am there. Especially if I find some more things in the sale at Hottopic...

Daily Style: Blue Heart Pinafore

Okay, finally another post! I have been soooo quiet, sorry... 

But I received a package with some super cute resin charms and pendants 

so I had to take some photos.

I even received a cute little personalised note n.n

Here is a close up of the items:

These are from Yumi's Creations, she is trying to start out with her little shop selling cute resin things and charms. 

Considering that Yumi has only been making these for a short time I think they are stunning. 

I love her mix of colours and cute shaped glitters. She has a great eye for finding cute stickers for them, too. I really have to get my hands on some of the macaroons she has been making!

The resin feels smooth and not flimsy, they are of a great quality too.
